Building Your First Gaming PC on a Budget

For a first gaming build, prioritise the graphics card and processor first — these two components have the biggest impact on frame rates in modern titles.

It's tempting to cut corners on the power supply, but a reputable, correctly-rated unit protects every other component in your build. This is not the place to save money.

Always confirm your processor's socket (for example AM5 or LGA1700) matches your motherboard before ordering — this is the single most common mistake first-time builders make.

Our PC Builder tool checks this automatically as you go, and our in-store team assembles, cable-manages and stress-tests every custom build before handover.
